Zinc Futures Rise On Spot Demand, Global Cues

Zinc futures jumped during the morning trade in the domestic market on Friday as investors and speculators extended their positions in the industrial metal on rise in demand from consuming industries amid weaker US dollar against a basket of other currencies.

At the MCX, zinc futures for January 2017 contract is trading at Rs 186.55 per kg, up by 0.24 per cent, after opening at Rs 186, against a previous close of Rs 186.10. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 186.85.
