Copper Futures Rise On Increased Demand

Copper futures were trading higher during the noon trade in the domestic market on Thursday as as speculators built up fresh positions, amid rising demand in the spot market. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders after a firm trend in copper and other base metals at the London Metal Exchange led to rise in copper prices at futures trade

At the MCX, copper futures for August 2018 contract is trading at Rs 437.90 per kg, up by 0.02 per cent, after opening at Rs 438.20, against a previous close of Rs 437.85. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 439.10.
